She refused to be intimidated bythe Serial Spankers and treated the more pompousand prissy factions of the Elite with disdain.Although rubbishing pre’s could be a delightfulrecreation it had a painful downside.The process of issuing red marks was covertand obscure. On the wall of the Elite common roomthere was a card index system, with an individualcard for every inmate at the facility. If a prefect feltthat she had been rubbished she would take the galscard and annotate it in red ink. When a gal reachedfour annotations her card would be moved to an areaof the index system known as the ‘Hot Zone’. If aprefect felt a gal in the Hot Zone had rubbished her,she would annotate her card and place it in a redenvelope. She would then notify the Red-shirt whowould send her personal grubby to seek out theinmate and have her cut along sharpish to the library.Rubbishing was a poorly defined term and theprefects were free to interpret it as they felt fit. Ifthey personally caned an inmate they were forced tostate the reason in the gal’s Punishment Record Bookand file a report with Patty Hodge. However, if theyjust didn’t like the way an inmate looked at them orany other imagined slur that they would havedifficulty explaining they took recourse by issuing redmarks. Rubbishing abuse was rampant, especiallyamongst the members of the Secret Sorority of SerialSpankers, better known as the SS, who wouldconspire to target particular inmates. Any galunfortunate enough to land in the Hot Zone wasguaranteed to suffer a dangling within days.
