Nurse 21 Awards• Last year's inaugural awardsceremony was a success!• This year's event will be held at <strong>the</strong>SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills onMay 9, <strong>2012</strong>• Faculty and staff can purchase <strong>the</strong>irtickets in advance for half price• All money raised will go to supportstudent scholarships


Economic Climate


Economic Impact on UC/<strong>UCLA</strong>/SoN• The <strong>UCLA</strong> Anderson Forecast for California– 3-5 year duration• $650 million permanent cut to UC– Our contribution was $150 million (<strong>UCLA</strong>)• <strong>2012</strong> an additional $150 million cut to UC– <strong>UCLA</strong>?– SoN?• President Yud<strong>of</strong> has indicated students will receive betweenan 8% and 16% tuition increase over <strong>the</strong> next 4 years.
