COMPETIVE NEWS LETTER JANUARY 2003ATTENTION: PARENTS AND STUDENTSWelcome back! I hope you all had a restful holiday. Below is some important up-dateinformation that will help you in the up-coming months.COSTUMES: Costume invoices will arrive home the beginning of the first week ofFebruary. Please be aware that the monies earned through the bottle depot deposits willclose for this year by the end of January. Any further bottle depot deposits earned afterthis date will be applied to next years costumes.Your invoice will include an invoice from monies earned from any fund-raising effortsthus far. This amount will be subtracted from the total amount owing. Your invoice willalso include the amount owing on your child’s group numbers for competition groupdances minus your $50.00 deposit. Please be expedient in returning your dues, checkspayable to Spiral Dance. Thank-you.5-6-7-8 SHOWTIME COMPETITION IN WHISTLER:As a reminder, the Whistler competition is April 25,26,27, held at the ChateauWhistler. To make reservations call 1-800-606-8244 . Be sure to mention that you are partof the 5-6-7-8 Showtime Competition to get reduced hotel accommodation, price is$169.00.As a note this hotel does not have kitchenets. You may fair better if you have to stay formore than 1 night to check out other hotels or condo’sAll group dances happen on the week-end. As per last year, solo’s are on Friday day andnight, group dances start Saturday morning with ballet, Modern. Jazz ,lyrical and endingthe day with Adult groups and production. Sunday starts with Tap, Stage, ending the daywith Hip Hop. This order may change, but I will up-date you as soon as I know.5-6-7-8 Showtime Entry fees: I will be sending home the entry fee form by February. Dueto the monies awarded to some of our groups at the Finals last year, there will be areduction for some. The Company (A) group will have at least 3 of their group dancescovered. The Junior Jazz, Pre- Co. III and Intermediate Stage will also have a reducedamount owing. Other wise group dances are $18.00 per entry.
