INSTRUCTIONSThe directory is divided into three sections; the first provides information for 911 centers, public safety answeringpoints (PSAP’s) and other agencies responsible for the dispatch of licensed EMS agencies in Virginia. Listed inalphabetical order is the jurisdiction, physical address, telephone numbers, dispatch frequencies and agenciesdispatched.The second section lists the medevac providers located within Virginia, their locations and contact information.The third section lists hospitals. The physical address, telephone numbers, radio frequencies and coordinates. Alsonoted is if they are a level I, II or III trauma center. This section is sub-divided into regions, Eastern, Central,Northern, Northwest, Near Southwest and Far Southwest. The Regional Hospital Coordination Center is noted forthe facilities which have the responsibility to coordinate medical oversight during large scale emergencies anddisaster situations.All frequencies listed in section three are designated for EMS to hospital contact. Designated VHF (very highfrequency) radio frequencies, commonly referred to as “HEAR” (hospital emergency administrative radio) channelsare;155.280 MHz155.340 MHz155.400 MHzThese frequencies may have a continuous tone controlled squelch system (CTCSS) which must be accessedbefore opening the channel.
