In 2000 and 2001 he was thetechnical direc<strong>to</strong>r of <strong>Anglo</strong>Gold’s South <strong>American</strong> operations in Brazil. He became the chief operating officer(Africa) of <strong>Anglo</strong>Gold Ashanti in 2005 and the chief operating officer of <strong>Anglo</strong>Gold Ashanti in August 2007. Nevillewas appointed chief executive officer of <strong>Amplats</strong> in June 2008. He is a non-executive direc<strong>to</strong>r of <strong>Anglo</strong> <strong>American</strong>South Africa and was appointed <strong>to</strong> the Executive Committee of <strong>Anglo</strong> <strong>American</strong> plc in 2009. He is the former finance direc<strong>to</strong>r of Eskom HoldingsLimited. Prior <strong>to</strong> joining Eskom, he served as treasurer and chief financial officer of Shell Southern Africa.Bongani is currently a non-executive direc<strong>to</strong>r of Old Mutual plc and chairman of the South African RevenueService Audit Committee. He trained as an accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.DOUGLAS (DOUG) JOHN ALISON (56) (South African) AIAC, MAPCOMPANY SECRETARYDoug was appointed company secretary of <strong>Amplats</strong> in January 2010 and is also company secretary of <strong>Anglo</strong><strong>American</strong> South Africa Limited. Doug has worked as a company secretary within the <strong>Anglo</strong> <strong>American</strong> Group forthe past 36 years. His department is responsible for corporate law statu<strong>to</strong>ry and regula<strong>to</strong>ry compliance and forcorporate governance.KHANYISILE KWEYAMA (46) (South African) BSc Administration, Post-graduate Dip (Management)EXECUTIVE HEAD: HUMAN RESOURCESKhanyisile joined <strong>Amplats</strong> in 2011 as executive head of human resources.Khanyisile has worked in a number of international companies: BMW, Altech (Group Executive: human resourcesand industrial relations and later corporate affairs and stakeholder relations) and most recently BarloworldLtd. (Group Executive: Global HR and Transformation). She was appointed as executive head: human resourcesin July 2011.Khanyisile was part of the CODESA secretariat pre -South African democracy in 1994.PIETER JOHANNES LOUW (51) (South African) BSc Mining EngineeringEXECUTIVE HEAD: MINESPieter was appointed executive head: mining at <strong>Amplats</strong> on 1 September 2007. He is an experienced engineer,manager and direc<strong>to</strong>r in the mining field, having served in various capacities in the gold, iron ore, coal andbase metals industries. These have involved both surface and underground mining operations in South Africa,Zambia and South America.BENNETOR (BEN) MAGARA (44) (Zimbabwean) BSc (Engineering) (Honours), ADPEXECUTIVE HEAD: ENGINEERING AND PROJECTSBen joined <strong>Amplats</strong> as executive head: engineering and projects in November 2009.Ben has 20 years’ experience in the mining and energy industries and has been part of the <strong>Anglo</strong> <strong>American</strong>Group of companies for the past 16 years. In 2006, he was appointed chief executive officer of <strong>Anglo</strong> CoalSouth Africa.48
