Notes for Applicants of Trade Test for Construction CraftsmenApplication : 1. Complete the application form and return it to the CICTA Trade Testing Centre at 95 Yue Kwong Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong,together with a cheque or bank draft for the test fee payable to “Construction Industry Council”.Requirements : 1. Applicants must reach 18 years of age or above, and be in-service construction workers with at least 4 years of relevant workingexperience.2. Applicants who are not Hong Kong Permanent Residents should attach copies of their valid Working Permit from Hong KongImmigration Department with their application forms.Test Fee : 1. HK$500.00 In order to encourage construction workers to have multi-skills, applicants can enjoy 20% discount on tradetesting fee if they have already obtained a pass in other testing tradesRemarks : 1. Trade test will be held onboard barges on the construction site with written consent by the main contractor and the owners of the worksbarges, by completing the declaration provided overleaf.2. If the works barge is berthed off-shore, candidates shall furnish at least 2 trips of ferry free of charge for invigilators to and from thebarge.3. Candidates have to provide a safe access for invigilators during the trade testing.4. Operator classification will be printed in all certificates.5. For candidates failing the trade tests, if their skill levels are far from the passing requirements, they are advised to continue practisingtheir skills in the field for at least one year before applying for a re-test. If these candidates do not follow the advice and apply for are-test within one year, the CICTA will reduce its subsidy to them. Thus, apart from the test fees, they will be required to payHK$800 additionally to cover the subsidy difference.6. Candidates may request to postpone the trade test by submitting his reasons in writing. Such letters must reach CICTA Trade TestingCentre at least 3 days before the scheduled testing day.7. Paid fees are not refundable.
