Section 1 Scanner ® 2000 microEFM Standard Features The standard Scanner 2000 microEFM features an explosion-proof enclosure with two conduit openings for signal cable, a large LCD, a three-button keypad, integral multi-variable transmitter with integral vent plugs, and a lithium double-D cell battery pack (Figure 1.1, page 11). MVTs are available in NACE and non-NACE models, and with bottom ports (gas measurement) and side ports (liquid and steam measurement). For devices that are powered externally, a double-A cell battery pack is available for backup power. Alternatively, Scanner 2000 configurations are available for direct connection to a turbine meter, which is ideal for applications that do not require pressure measurement. The CSA-approved connection is shown in Figure 1.2, page 11; the ATEX-approved connection is shown in Figure 1.3, page 12. The main circuit board offers a turbine input, two communications ports, an RTD input, and a digital output. See Section 2—Installing the Scanner 2000, for wiring diagrams. 10
