Instructions for preparation
GUIDELINES FOR EXTENDED ABSTRACT
The extended abstract is a short paper summarizing your presentation (oral or poster). It should include
figures and references. It will be published on the conference CD-ROM as it is submitted, and given to all
conference attendees. Extended abstracts will be edited and reviewed for technical content and selection
purposes. Extended abstracts that do not meet the guidelines, although they might be accepted for
conference presentation, will not be published.
Indicate the author making the presentation with an asterisk. This author will be considered the key person
for all contact about the paper. Include all co-authors names, affiliations and email addresses above the
abstract text and below the title.
Extended Abstract specifications
Font: Times New Roman – for inserted characters use only ‘Symbols’ fonts to avoid character
corruption
Title: 16 pt Bold
Authors: List all authors in order, with their first name, last name, affiliation and email
- 8pt italics
Text Body: 9pt regular style, single spaced, justified
Spacing: See Style Template supplied on third page
Length: Up to four pages including text, figures and references
(maximum file size 10 MByte)
These formatting specs should be followed to simplify publication.

Submission
Please note that the deadline for submission of the extended abstracts is 2 nd September 2011. Papers
submitted after this date will not be accepted.
To submit your extended abstract, please go to the online paper submission at and follow the online
submission instructions and provide all the information requested.
All submissions will be acknowledged immediately. If you do not receive an acknowledgment within one
week of submitting your extended abstract, please contact the Conference Secretariat as listed below.

Presentation Options:
Oral presentation – requires an extended abstract/ short paper for publication on the conference CD.
All extended abstracts should be submitted for review by Friday 2 September 2011.
Poster presentation - requires an extended abstract/ short paper for publication on the conference
CD. All extended abstracts should be submitted for review by Friday 2 September 2011.

IMPORTANT POINTS FOR AUTHORS TO NOTE:
The preparation and supply of any handouts or other materials used in any presentation will be the
responsibility of the presenter(s).
As a commitment to attend and support the conference, the presenters of the accepted papers are
expected to register and pay, either for the full-time program or the day of their presentation, before the
expiration of Early Bird Registration (a reminder will be sent to authors in due course). Failure to register
by this date may result in the extended abstract being removed from the program.
All costs to attend the conference, including the registration fee, travel and accommodation must be met
by the presenter.
