41(i)<strong>Nowshera</strong> Deposits.These deposits lie exposed along <strong>the</strong> <strong>Nowshera</strong>-Risalpur road and are quiteextensive in size.material.The marble is pink in colour with streaks and patches of red and grey ferruginouspresent inCalcite in <strong>the</strong> form of veins is present and also fills <strong>the</strong> numerous cavities<strong>the</strong> rock.The marble is of inferior quality. According to <strong>the</strong> Geological Survey ofPakistan, <strong>the</strong> reserves may amount to 3,84,000 cubic feet.(ii)Pir Sabak Deposits.The Pir Sabak deposits are exposed ncar <strong>the</strong> village of this name. The marble ispink and grey in colour with little or no impurities. These deposits are of better qualitythan <strong>the</strong> <strong>Nowshera</strong> deposits.flawlessLarge scale quarrying is carried out by well organized private enterprise.Largeblocks are taken out and transported to <strong>the</strong> nearest railway station foronward transmission, mostly to Karachi.
