The shareholder’s equityamounts to 163.62 million euros (2006:146.87 million euros). In line with validregulations, UniCredit Banka Slovenija d.d.voluntarily had an interim audit by KPMGwith an unqualified opinion and allocatedthe nine month profit to eligible capital forcapital adequacy. Bank’s Segment Performance ReviewRetail and SmallBusiness BankingClient segmentsRevenuesGeneral overviewThe year 2007 at UniCredit Banka Slovenijad.d. was characterized by an increased focuson retail business. In addition to an annualrevenue increase of 34 %, there also were anumber of important achievements. Someof the most important of these achievementswere: establishment of stable and ambitiousmanagement and sales staff; implementationof segment and product specialists’functions; introduction of a structuredsales approach; and the beginning of are-engineering project of key businessprocesses.302520151052.65235614.6363.12365619.459PRIVATE CLIENTSBUSINESS CLIENTSAlso, strong customer satisfaction ratingswere achieved, preparing the ground forfurther expansion of retail banking in comingyears. Our focus has been on satisfyingcustomer needs and finding the optimalsolution to these needs.With more than 100 sales representatives in14 branches across the country and with thesubstantial help of our Mobile Sales Force(MSF) partners, we successfully took careof our many clients. Customer satisfactionhas been assessed through a structuredand certified survey, which UniCredit Groupconducts biennially. Through this survey,we have discovered that our clients areamong the most satisfied banking clients inSlovenia.1. Mass & affluent segmentMass & affluent segment remains the mostimportant segment in terms of revenue as itcontributed 34.2 % of total Bank’s revenuesin 2007. It also is the segment with thehighest revenue growth, which in 2007amounted to 35 %.Loans are still the core product for thissegment. The biggest revenue growth shareis contributed to competitive offer andsuccessful sales of housing mortgage loans.The volume growth was as high as 47 %,which clearly outgrew the market in totalloan volume growth.On the other hand, we also were veryactive and competitive with our depositsoffer. In 2007, we were the first bank tointroduce structured deposits in the market.Two successful auctions of new productsand an attractive pricing policy enabledus constantly to increase the total depositvolume and revenues.By revising our transaction accountpackages offer at the beginning of the year,we decreased the number of availablepackages, but brought their content closer tothe specific needs of the sub segment.2. Small business segmentThe small business clients segment wasto some extent negatively affected by the02006 2007MASS & AFFLUENTintroduction of the euro, since incomegenerated from foreign currency conversionsand foreign payments processingmostly vanished overnight. However, theintroduction of the euro also brought newopportunities, which we successfully havebeen capitalizing on. The small businesssegment also was redefined and shifted tothe retail division at the beginning of 2007.Financing products are still the mostdemanded by clients in this segment.Together, working capital and investmentfinance loans account for the majority oftotal segment revenues. Despite the recentliquidity/credit crunch, which was moreclearly present in the local environment inthe last quarter of 2007, we have providedsufficient funds to our clients at marketconditions.
