APPENDIX 14UNIFORM ADVERTISING1. MANUFACTURER IDENTIFICATIONAn article of clothing or equipment may display the manufacturer’s identification in the form of thename, trademark, logo, or any other distinctive sign of the manufacturer of the item, when worn orused by a player, official or umpire whilst playing or officiating in any event subject to the followinglimitations.1.1 At Olympic GamesThe IOC publishes specific regulations related to Rule 50 in the Olympic Charter for eachGames. Full details will be published in the Competition <strong>Regulations</strong> for each Olympic Games.1.2 At Other Inter-Nations Events (applies also to Olympic Qualifying Events)The display may appear once only on any article of clothing, except on shirts where it may berepeated in the one or two figure(s) of the number(s) on the back of the shirts. Any such displaymay not exceed the overall size of 20 cm 2 per article.Authorised identifications may not appear close or adjacent to each other, in order to avoid acomposite logo effect or a repetitive effect. This applies also in case of several layers of itemsworn by the same person or for one-piece body suitsWhere one-piece body suits are used in competition, one identification of the manufacturer shallbe permitted above the waist and one below the waist, each to be no larger than the maximumsize noted above; however these identifications shall not be placed immediately adjacent toeach otherIn respect of outfield players’ gloves and armbands, one identification of the manufacturer perglove or armband will be permitted to a maximum size of 6 cm 2 .There is no restriction on equipment, headgear or shoes.2. SPONSORS’ ADVERTISMENTS2.1 At Olympic GamesOther than as specified for the Indication of a Manufacturer, advertising is not permitted onclothing or equipment.
