WVDP Phase 1 CSAPplan will identify the nature of the IDW expected to be generated and the approaches to be usedto minimize the amount of IDW that will require handling and disposal.10.8 Field DecontaminationField sampling equipment used during soil sampling will be decontaminated between samples.Equipment to be decontaminated includes stainless steel scoops, bowls, spoons, split spoonsamplers, core barrels, and hand auger barrels. Other equipment used during sampling activitiesthat does not directly contact sample materials (down-hole rods, shovels) will be cleaned by apressurized steam cleaner to remove visible soil contamination.Field decontamination will be conducted in an area near the field equipment staging area or in anarea approved by the DOE.
