He addedthat this graft was the root causeof under-development.The BJP President alsodemanded to know why theCentre is not giving the names ofthose who have kept lakhs ofcrores of black money in foreignbanks. Transport contractors are none other than the familymembers of Ministers.BJP appointed a Fact Finding Committee to find out and compile the quality and quantum of scam /corruptionin North East. The Committee, after detailed work, field visit, interaction with experts and authorities, has submittedthe Report to me. The Team visited Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and other parts of the North East tounearth & document the various scams in the North East. The Report says: Hydro power Scam is another 2GScam, 63,000 Crore Scams in North East states.The Hydro Power projects are of Rs 4,00,000 crores. Kickback is given per mega watt. Direct MOU signed,projects allotted for highly technical projects of hundreds of crores with just formed companies.Scams….Hydro Power Projects Rs.4,00,000 Crore Hydro Kickback Rs.20,000 CroreAssam Scam Rs.20,000 Crore Manipur Scam Rs.5,000 CroreArunachal Scam Rs.10,000 Crore Sikkim Scam Rs.3,000 CroreNagaland, Mizoram Scam Rs.5,000 CoreTotal corruption/ kickback is more than Rs 63,000 crores.All the investigative agencies, regulators, authorities, social activists, NGOs, Opposition Parties have raisedquestions/concern about these scams.
