Chapter 5 – Environmental Consequences5.6.3.14 FacilitiesCumulative impacts to facilities could result from the combination of Alternative C and populationgrowth near FTC. Cumulative impacts to facilities are expected to be less than significant.5.6.4 Alternative D − No ActionThe cumulative impact analysis for Alternative D focuses on impacts on the environment resultingfrom the incremental impact of the action when added to other past, present, and reasonablyforeseeable future actions. Past and present actions are accounted for in the description of the affectedenvironment for each resource.Under Alternative D, no project-related construction or training associated with the permanentstationing of the 2/25 th SBCT would occur at any of the three locations described under AlternativesA, B, or C. Current ongoing and planned projects not related to permanent stationing of the SBCTunit would continue at all of the installations to meet Army needs. As a result, Alternative D wouldnot contribute to any new cumulative impacts to any resources in the regions surrounding SBMR,DMR, KTA, KLOA, PTA, FRA, DTA, FTC, or PCMS, beyond those that are already occurring orwould occur because of implementation of the other projects that have been identified within eachrespective cumulative impact area.February 2008 5-274 2/25th SBCT Final EIS
