Chapter 5 – Environmental Consequences5.5.6.1.2 Impacts from Range ConstructionLess Than Significant ImpactsRange maintenance would continue as needed. This would include berm, trail and targetrymaintenance and would temporarily restrict access to certain range sites. Maintenance of range areascould potentially limit access to range areas during maintenance activities. Continued coordinationwith the public and implementation of regulatory and administrative mitigation measures wouldreduce the impacts to less than significant.5.5.6.1.3 Impacts from Live-Fire TrainingLess Than Significant ImpactsLive-fire training, which is one of the primary factors contributing to indirect effects to surroundingland uses, would continue. Army use of existing ranges would result in live-fire training over a largerarea and at more locations. Continued use of Army land for training would result in additional landdisturbances. Continued implementation of regulatory and administrative mitigation measures withongoing training would reduce the impacts to less than significant.5.5.6.1.4 Impacts from Maneuver TrainingLess Than Significant ImpactsManeuver training, which is one of the primary factors contributing to indirect effects to surroundingland uses, would continue. Maneuvers of the 2/25 th ID (L) would prevent access of Army training andmaneuver areas to the public to ensure training maneuvers are conducted in a safe and controlledenvironment. The Army would continue to implement restricted access during maneuver training toensure there are no safety risks to the public. Limiting access to maneuver training lands duringArmy training could restrict hunting and recreational use. This would be mitigated to less thansignificant by the installation coordination with the public through its public affairs office incoordination with the office of the directorate of training programs.5.5.6.2 Alaska5.5.6.2.1 Impacts from Cantonment ConstructionNo ImpactsThe current number of Soldiers stationed at FRA would remain the same.
