W regionie działają dwie państwowe uczelniewyższe: Uniwersytet Humanistyczno-PrzyrodniczyJana Kochanowskiego (19,8 tys. studentów) orazPolitechnika Świętokrzyska (9 tys. studentów) 5 . Obieuczelnie zlokalizowane są w najsilniejszym ośrodkunaukowym regionu – Kielcach. Również w stolicyregionu swoją działalność naukowo-dydaktycznąprowadzą liczne uczelnie niepubliczne (m.in. The Jan KochanowskiUniversity of Humanities and Sciences (19,8 thousandstudents) and the Kielce University of Technology(9 thousand students) 5 . Both are located in thestrongest research center of the region – Kielce. Thisis also the place where many non-public institutionsconduct their scientific and research activity (including:The Information and Telecommunication College,The University of Computer Engineering andTelecommunication).
