Craigslea students colourthe streets of Brisbane<strong>with</strong> “mobile artwork”More than 100 Brisbane primary school studentsmade Australian “art history” on Friday, 15 Februarywhen they created potentially the country’s largest andmost colourful mobile art – all in the name of charity.Craigslea State School students, including some whohave cerebral palsy, painted a Brisbane City Councilbus in all the colours of the rainbow for the League’sannual ‘<strong>Colour</strong> <strong>Your</strong> <strong>Day</strong>’ appeal.Acclaimed Queensland artist, Kendall, designed thebus artwork and guided students in their work.Another well known local artist and Brisbane DeputyMayor, Cr David Hinchliffe, saw red – and just aboutevery other colour – when he helped Kendall and 100plus kids brighten up the Brisbane City Council bus.The bus was donated by Council to launch the ‘<strong>Colour</strong><strong>Your</strong> <strong>Day</strong>’ appeal, which has attracted the support ofapproximately 1000 businesses statewide.The Cerebral Palsy League would like to thank APNOutdoor who assisted <strong>with</strong> the stickering of the busand Dulux for the donation of the paint.Scheduled 18-24 February, ‘<strong>Colour</strong> <strong>Your</strong> <strong>Day</strong>’ aimedto raise more than $100,000 for the Cerebral PalsyLeague.If you would like to donate to the League phone1800 819 086 or visit www.cplqld.org.auPage - League News Volume 32 Edition 1, <strong>2008</strong>
