Campus<strong>Kristianstad</strong> <strong>University</strong> was founded in 1977. Today there aretwo campuses and over 14,000 <strong>student</strong>s. The main Campusis just 10 minutes from the town centre; Campus Hässleholm isloc<strong>at</strong>ed near the centre of Hässleholm, 20 minutes by train from<strong>Kristianstad</strong>. On campus you have access to inspiring meetingplaces and a wide range of services.<strong>Kristianstad</strong> CampusAt the Campus you can find everything you need within a shortwalking distance. There are a library, a restaurant, a café, asports hall, the <strong>student</strong> union, health centre and <strong>student</strong> dorm<strong>at</strong>oriesall in one place.In the middle of the campus there is a spacious library withstudy rooms, computer rooms and open spaces where youcan read or just relax.Hässlehom CampusThe Campus is loc<strong>at</strong>ed in the modern area of Norra St<strong>at</strong>ionwhich is in the centre of Hässleholm and right beside the trainst<strong>at</strong>ion. Hässleholm is within an easy reach from <strong>Kristianstad</strong>,Malmö, Lund and other cities in Sweden. From <strong>Kristianstad</strong> youcan reach Hässleholm by train (about 20 minutes) or by bus.In the area of Norra St<strong>at</strong>ion you will find not only the universitycampus but also several companies, public authorities andrestaurants. Like campus <strong>Kristianstad</strong>, here you can find all thefacilities you need for a comfortable <strong>student</strong> life (library, studyrooms, sports facilities, Student Union, café, restaurants, etc).”I like the campus, it is well organised, it issmall so you can reach everything easilyand have access to computer rooms, theinternet and the library. Courses<strong>Kristianstad</strong> <strong>University</strong> offers a wide range of courses taught inEnglish within different fields of study. We also offer a numberof web based courses. However, 75% of the courses should becampus loc<strong>at</strong>ed in order to provide a meaningful exchangeperiod. SwedenSweden is one of the largest countries in Europe, withvaried scenery and clim<strong>at</strong>e. From north to south you canfind extensive forests, numerous lakes and a long coastline.The landscape as well as the clim<strong>at</strong>e changes a lot,from the wild and colder regions of the north to the milderand fl<strong>at</strong>ter landscape of the south.Sweden is not only forests and lakes but a modern andfast developing country. (Swedish Institute)”.SkåneSkåne is the southernmost region of Sweden. Danish until 1658, it stillkeeps a bit of Denmark in its flag and in the ”Skånska” the dialectspoken in the area. Together with the Danish Zealand, it belongs tothe Øresund Region, one of the fastest expanding areas in northernEurope. It is the most popul<strong>at</strong>ed area of Sweden but you can still findwild n<strong>at</strong>ure, lakes, forests and small villages along the cost.Malmö, the third largest city in Sweden, is the main centre of Skåne.Thanks to its connection to Copenhagen through the Øresundbridge, the city is quickly developing and is becoming an importantcentre for all the Scandinavian countries.
