This plugin supports both Exchange 2007and 2003 database backup and restore.Backup OptionsFIELD/OPTIONSet when backupoccurs onclustered systemsChoices are:AlwaysActive nodeonlyPassive nodeonlyDESCRIPTIONBacks up all nodes in the cluster. This isthe default setting.Only the active node in the cluster isbacked up.Only passive nodes in the cluster arebacked up.Refer to your Avamar Backup Clients Installation Guideand Reference Manual for additional information aboutAvamar support for Microsoft Windows Clusters.Delete log filesafter snapupEnhancedCommonalityFactoringIMPORTANT: Do not select this option if you areperforming concurrent incremental backups.Enables or disables enhanced data deduplication. Duringbackups, enhanced data deduplication typically reducesthe amount of client data that must be sent to the serverbut requires additional client CPU resources. Choices are:DefaultDisabledEnabledUse the global enhanced datadeduplication setting already set on theserver. Choices are:MicrosoftInformationStoreDESCRIPTIONThis is the default setting.ADVANCED OPTIONSStorage GroupNameMicrosoft SiteReplicationServiceMicrosoft KeyManagementServiceSite replication service used for mixedExchange 5.5 and 2000/2003environments.This is the local activation service thatprovides Windows activation, instead ofusing Microsoft’s external productactivation.This field can normally be left blank because theExchange storage group name is automatically storedwhen the target client is browsed during on-demandbackups or when a dataset is applied to a member of agroup during a scheduled backup.Pipe input/output to avtarEnabledebuggingmessagesIf selected, backups and restores are performed directlyby the Avamar backup process (avtar).If cleared, an intermediate local backup file can be used.If selected, maximum information is written to log files.IMPORTANT: If selected, very large log files arecreated.AVAMAR 5.0 • AVAMAR EXCHANGE CLIENT USER GUIDE 73
