It occupies third place accord<strong>in</strong>g to American Banker and theReputation Institute.• <strong>BBVA</strong> Compass climbed two steps to third place <strong>in</strong> American Banker’s report on the reputationof the 30 lead<strong>in</strong>g banks <strong>in</strong> the U.S. In the three years that American Banker has conducted thesurvey, <strong>BBVA</strong> Compass has gone from sixteenth to third, reflect<strong>in</strong>g the bank’s commitment tobecom<strong>in</strong>g a standard-bearer for outstand<strong>in</strong>g corporate reputation.• Brand recognition has also <strong>in</strong>creased significantly. The <strong>BBVA</strong> Compass Stadium <strong>in</strong> Houstonopened <strong>in</strong> May, with over 22,000 soccer fans open<strong>in</strong>g almost 1,000 credit card accounts. The<strong>in</strong>auguration was mentioned more than 1,800 times <strong>in</strong> the media <strong>in</strong> the months follow<strong>in</strong>g itsopen<strong>in</strong>g ceremony, equivalent to nearly 29 million dollars of advertis<strong>in</strong>g value. <strong>BBVA</strong> Compassalso partners with the home team, the Houston Dynamo, <strong>in</strong> the “Build<strong>in</strong>g a Better Community”project.
