This event was mentioned more than 1,800 times <strong>in</strong> the media follow<strong>in</strong>g its open<strong>in</strong>gceremony, equivalent to nearly 29 million dollars of advertis<strong>in</strong>g value, and resulted <strong>in</strong> manysoccer fans open<strong>in</strong>g credit card accounts. <strong>BBVA</strong> Compass also partners the home team, theHouston Dynamo, <strong>in</strong> the “Build<strong>in</strong>g a Better Community” project. This <strong>in</strong>cludes rebuild<strong>in</strong>g homesand revitaliz<strong>in</strong>g the green areas around the stadium, as well as improv<strong>in</strong>g children’s education.In addition, <strong>BBVA</strong> has launched the “<strong>BBVA</strong> Ambassadors” project, which br<strong>in</strong>gs togetherfamous people from various walks of life through aspects that share fundamental <strong>BBVA</strong> values,such as the spirit of self-improvement, <strong>in</strong>tegrity, cooperation, humility and responsibility. Thecollaboration between <strong>BBVA</strong> and its brand ambassadors extends beyond the use of their image<strong>in</strong> advertis<strong>in</strong>g campaigns. They also participate <strong>in</strong> activities related to corporate responsibility,particularly <strong>in</strong> the most disadvantaged parts of the world, and support <strong>in</strong>itiatives with childrenand young people. <strong>BBVA</strong> began the “<strong>BBVA</strong> Ambassadors” program with Iker Casillas andAndrés Iniesta, two of the stars of Liga <strong>BBVA</strong> and champions of the world and of Europe withthe Spanish National Soccer Team. Carlos Soria is the latest addition to “<strong>BBVA</strong> Ambassadors”.At 74 years of age, this mounta<strong>in</strong>eer has set himself the challenge of climb<strong>in</strong>g the 14 highestmounta<strong>in</strong>s <strong>in</strong> the world.
