Class 8736 starters consist of one Class 8502 contactor and one Class 8536 starter mechanically andelectrically interlocked. Open type devices, Sizes 0-5, are available in either horizontal or vertical arrangements. Sizes00, 6, and 7 are available as horizontal only. Enclosed devices use horizontally arranged components. Type S startersare designed for operation at 600 Vac, 50-60 Hz.NEMA Sizes 00, 0,1Reversing StarterOverload RelaysClass 8736 Type S Size 00-6 reversing starters are provided with melting alloy thermal overload relay as standard.Interchangeable thermal units are available in standard trip Sizes 00-6, as are bimetallic overload relays. Ambientcompensated and non-compensated versions are supplied with manual or automatic reset, trip current adjustment, andan alarm contact on Sizes 0-2.Quick trip is available on Sizes 00-4, and slow trip on Sizes 00-3. Solid State Overload Relays are also available forNEMA Sizes 0-4.Single phase starters use one thermal unit; three phase starters use three thermal units. See page 14-129 for selectioninformation.Solid State Overload Relay Protection (MOTOR LOGIC®)These ambient insensitive overload relays are available on sizes 00 through 6 and standard on size 7.
