Professional Studies AwardsThe Office of Professional Studies in the Health Sciences held its annual awardsceremony at New College Building on May 14, followed by a buffet luncheon. TheOutstanding Academic Achievement Award was presented to selected studentsin each of the 14 programs administered by the Office of Professional Studies.Dr. Gerald Soslau and Justin Chen, Master ofMedical ScienceProgram directors and co-directors Drs. Biomed Awards and BarbequeGraduating students received their hoods, and several studentswere presented with prizes at the annual barbeque and awardsceremony given by the Office of Biomedical Graduate andPostgraduate Studies. Barry Waterhouse, Ph.D., vice dean,presided at the event honoring the 13 Ph.D. and 4 Master ofScience candidates. The guests included faculty, family andfriends of the graduates, and representatives of the AlumniAssociation, which donates the hoods each year for thebiomedical graduate degrees.
