BD P700 Blood Collection System
for Plasma GLP-1 Preservation
Studies show that BD P700 enables
significant increase in GLP-1 recovery (Table 1).
BD P700 is a new protein preservation blood
collection tube that contains a proprietary Dipeptidyl
Peptidase IV (DPP-IV) protease inhibitor. The tube
is especially suited as the blood collection tube
of choice for assays that require quantitation and
measurement of the preproglucagon-derived glucose
regulatory peptide, glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1).

An aliquot of each plasma sample was prepared for use in Standard Electrolyte and Chemistry
8 Profile analyses. Comparable quantitation of analytes were observed using BD P700
and K 2 EDTA Tubes.
