7. To monitor Extended-Day classes daily to insure program compliance andserve as a resource for instructional personnelB. To assist as directed in the following Title I activities1. Student identification process2. Title I testing program, inventory of tests and related materials3. Assessment of test data and subsequent reporting SDE requirements4. Sustained effects study process5. Dissemination of information to school personnel, students and parents6. In-service program activities for Title I teachers and teaching assistants7. Summer school planning, organization and implementation8. Needs assessment process9. Monitoring Title I classes and teaching assistants in the observance ofclass schedules and general implementation of Title I regulationsII.Parent Involvement Specialist DutiesA. Primary duties/working with parents in the coordination of the Title Iinstructional efforts and the home1. To plan and implement a program of parent involvement for Title I parentsin assigned schoolsA. Implementation is to take place in the school through parent meetingsheld by invitation plus going into the homes wherever necessary toaccomplish the goal of getting parents involved in the educationalprocess(1) Develop teaching units to teach parents in helping their child(ren)B. Specific items of concern1. Maintenance of an information system which flows to the parents of TitleI childrena. Reasons for child’s participationb. Goals of the program2. Support parents in encouraging them to work with their childrena. Provide parental training to that end in both the home and schoolb. Develop and give accessibility to parents for source materials inassisting children related to the subject areas of Title Ic. Work with school personnel in promoting a working partnership withparentsd. Give volunteer parents opportunities to serve at school in areas inwhich they can be of assistance
