2. The vocational counselor works with all vocational students in the followingareas:a. Administering, scoring and interpreting test to vocational studentsb. Counseling with students relative to academic, personal, social andvocational problemsc. Disseminating career information directly to studentsd. Coordinates career and vocational information services through classroomteacherse. Works with other counselors within the school relative to vocationalstudents and their problems and future plansf. Keeps records of test results, interest, abilities, and personal data whichwould be of value in working with studentsg. Administer, score and interpret the GATB to all students who plan to enterCalhoun County Area Vocational Center as trade students – and to otherstudents on a “needs” basis3. Placement Servicesa. Maintains a close working relationship with:(1) Calhoun County Area Vocational Center(2) Post high school trade and technical schools(3) Employment office(4) Local industry and businessb. Recommends vocational students for trade school placementc. Assist vocational students in placement in post high school trade andtechnical schoolsd. Assist students in obtaining part-time jobse. Assist students in finding employment after high schoolf. Conducts surveys as to the availability of jobs in the immediate andsurrounding areasg. Works closely with industry and business creating a good workingrelationship between the school system and industry and business
