3. Post Accident TestingEmployees are required to immediately notify the Program Administrator of any accidentresulting in injury or damage to school system property. This policy requires anemployee involved in a DOT reportable accident as defined in the Federal Motor CarrierSafety Regulations to undergo substance screening to the schedule provided in theDOT regulations. This should be done, if possible, within two hours of the occurrence ofthe accident or incident. The <strong>Calhoun</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board of Education will discipline,including discharge, any employee who fails to report an accident or submit tosubstance screening where it is required by law or this policy. The ProgramAdministrator will complete an accident report in compliance with required <strong>Calhoun</strong><strong>County</strong> Board of Education Policy.C. Testing ProceduresI. General GuidelinesThe <strong>Calhoun</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board of Education, the Contractor, and its laboratory shall rely,when practical, on the guidelines of the Federal Department of TransportationProcedures for Transportation Workplace Drug Testing Programs.2. Substance for Which Screening is Conducted.Designated employees will regularly be tested for; amphetamines, cannabinoids,cocaine, opiates, and phencyclidine, as well as alcohol. Employees may be tested forother substances without advance notice as part of a separate test performed by the<strong>Calhoun</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board of Education for safety purposes. Such tests will be coordinatedwith the Program Administrator.3. Testing ProcedureUrinalysis will be utilized in test for illicit drugs as prescribed in the Department ofTransportation regulations. All initial positive urine specimens will be confirmed by gaschromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). All alcohol testing will be done utilizing aDOT approved Evidential Breath Testing Device (EBT).D. Collection SitesThe <strong>Calhoun</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board of Education and/or Contractor, will designate collectionsites in areas where it maintains facilities or job sites where individuals may providespecimens.E. Collection ProceduresThe Board, the contractor, and the laboratory, have developed and will maintain adocumented procedure for collecting, shipping, and accessing urine specimens. TheBoard, the contractor, and the laboratory will utilize a standard Urine Custody and
