8 Patient RecordsDelete All RecordsNOTE: The below information is for use by authorizedpersonnel only.With <strong>Atria</strong>, it is possible to delete all contents in the directory.!CautionData loss. Deleting a patient record permanently removes the record.Once deleted, a record can not be recovered.8-6 <strong>Atria</strong> Electrocardiograph Operating Instructions1. Press [Directory].2. Press [Next] to scroll to Delete All Records.3. Press [Select].4. Loss of Data. Continuing with the following steps will permanentlyerase all saved records. To cancel the request and return to the Directorymenu, press [Select].5. Press [Next].6. Press [Select].7. Press [Next].8. Press [Select].Automatic deletion when the Directory is fullIf you create a new record when the directory is full, the <strong>Atria</strong> deletes anolder record to make room for the new record. There are rules based onrecord status which determine which records are automatically deleted.The oldest record with the proper status is deleted.<strong>Atria</strong> without communication options:• If the <strong>Atria</strong> is not configured for communication with anEMR system, then any record with status Pr may be deleted.• Records with status Demogr (demographics-only records) arenever deleted.• Records without status Pr (unprinted records) are neverdeleted.<strong>Atria</strong> with communication options:• If the <strong>Atria</strong> is configured for communication with an EMRsystem, then a record with status St may be deleted.• Records with status Demogr or Order (demographics-onlyrecords) are never deleted.• Records without status St (unsent records) are never deleted.• Records with status Hold are never deleted.
