Chapter8 Patient RecordsWorking with Patient RecordsUse the Directory menu to create new patient records, access existingrecords, or to work with some or all patient records at once. You can use theDirectory menu to print a directory report, print ECGs, create demographicrecords, and delete patient records.To access the Directory menu:1. Press [Home] and then press [Directory].2. Press [Next] or [Previous] to scroll through the directory options:• View Entire Patient Directory—Lists all the saved patientrecords• View Open Orders—Lists only demographic-only records (noattached ECG).• View Pending Records—Lists only records that have notcompleted their lifecycle on the device.NOTE: Pending records are demographic-only records,records marked as Hold, or records that have not beenprinted (if communication is disabled), or records that havenot been sent (if communication is enabled).• Enter New Patient—Creates one or more patient files beforerecording ECGs. (For more information, see “Enter PatientDemographics” on pg. 7-2).• Print All New ECGs—Print all ECGs in the directory not yetprinted (their Record Status is not Pr).• Print Entire Directory—Prints all records in the directory.• Print Open Orders—Prints only demographic-only records (noattached ECG).• Print Pending Records—Prints only records that have notcompleted their lifecycle on the device.• Show Directory Status—Shows all demographics-only,unprinted, or unsent records.NOTE: If Show Directory Status is not listed in thedirectory, then the directory does not contain demographicsonly,unprinted or unsent records<strong>Atria</strong> Electrocardiograph Operating Instructions 8-1
