11 Maintenance and Service!WARNINGFalse readings. The lead status check does not detect lead reversals.Always ensure the correct lead placement is used for the leadconfiguration selected.NOTE: Deviations from the technical specification rangeslisted can affect device performance. The Atria is tested for IEC 60601-1-2 electromagnetic compatibility. Thefailure criterion for the device is, “undetectable interference with the ECGtrace which could result in misdiagnosis.” While the device passes therelevant standards, it may exhibit evidence of interference when subjectedto electrostatic discharges, high voltage transients or high voltage surges,as defined in IEC 801-2, IEC 801-4 and IEC 801-5. The interference from asingle event will demonstrate as a sharp noise spike on the ECG trace. Theclinician will not confuse such a noise spike with the heart beat waveformsand there is no hazard of misdiagnosis. In the unlikely situation theequipment is placed in an environment where such interference events arecommon, either the equipment or the interference source may be moved.Battery packUnder normal conditions, a fully charged battery pack provides adequatepower to print a minimum of 300 pages of data at paper speed of 25 mm/sec;or a minimum of 55 minutes of continuous acquisition and printing.A fully discharged battery pack will completely recharge in approximately6 hours.Heart rate detectionThe Atria heart rate meter is specified to function in the range of 30 to 250bpm with a tolerance of ±10% or ±5 bpm, whichever is greater. Questionmarks (???) appear on the printout if the heart rate is out of the specifiedrange.!WARNINGPatient injury or death. Do not use the Atria for unattended or continuouspatient monitoring. The Atria has no audible or visible alarms and changeto patient condition may not be immediately known. The Atria is only intended for short-term ECG waveform acquisition.11-8 Atria Electrocardiograph Operating Instructions
