Product description2.1 System descriptionGSM/GPRS modems are used forwireless communication. <strong>KLARO</strong>modems KM12 are used for the textmessage transmission of error messagesand the readings of operatinghour counters of <strong>KLARO</strong> ZKplus,KLplus or KLbasic controls. Furthermore,it is possible to establish a dataconnection to other <strong>KLARO</strong> modemsKM12 in order to access saved dataand change settings.This device is a quad band modem(850/900/1800/1900 MHz) which canoperate within common networks2.2 Scope of delivery(D net, E net). The enclosed antennacovers the frequency ranges850/900/1800/1900 MHz. Detailed informationcan be found in the annexto this instruction manual.A 230 V socket is required for voltagesupply. A plug-in power supplyunit is used for the voltage supply ofthe <strong>KLARO</strong> modem KM12. The KLA-RO modem KM12 stops operating incase of voltage failure.The <strong>KLARO</strong> battery pack KP12 (notincluded in the standard package) isused to ensure the operation of the<strong>KLARO</strong> modem KM12 in case of voltagefailure.
