15 Error messages and their causes
If a limit value is exceeded (car battery voltage, charger temperature, maximum charge power), this
results in some cases in interruption of the charge process (e.g. low car battery voltage), in others
to a display of the cause of the error, and in others to the buzzer sounding; the buzzer is switched
off automatically after a while.
- After an error message only the charge quantity is displayed; the charge time and charge voltage
can no longer be read off.
- After an error message you must disconnect the ecolader from the battery voltage in order to reset
the unit to the normal working state.
- At Akku 3: if a battery voltage of less than about 0.5 V is detected, the charger assumes incorrect
polarity.
Error: Disconnect Disconnect Batt2/3! Batt2/3! and/or -Power-On-Reset-
-Power-On-Reset-:
-Power-On-Reset-
Cause:
a) Battery or batteries were connected to the charger before it was connected to the power supply.
b) During a process the power from the car battery or mains PSU was interrupted, and was then
switched on again (as a)).
c) The "watchdog" circuit has tripped in the middle of a charge or discharge process. It trips when the
micro-processor is brought to an unforeseen state, typically as a result of external interference.
Note: This is not an error. The charger is not capable of deciding whether a charge program or a
discharge program should be used, whether a combination program is required or whether it
should start from the beginning again, or even whether it would be harmful to charge an already
fully charg-ed pack at the set current.
- For technical reasons no error message is produced if one or more batteries are connected to the
charger, but the charger is not connected to its power supply.
