8.14 Charge current
Description:
This function is used to select the maximum
possible charge current which the ecolader
is to apply when charging.
Activating the menu point:
Press the akku x button.
Select value:
Press the + or - button.
Value range:
Battery 1: 300 mA ... 6 A ... 10 A.
Battery 2: 150 mA ... 4 A ... 5 A.
Battery 3: 100 mA ... 1 A ... 2 A.
Confirm value:
Press enter
Interrupt:
Press esc
Notes:
The actual charge current may be lower
than the value you have set, depending on
the number of cells, the maximum total current
drain (primary current) and - in particular
- if automatic current calculation is in
use.
Altering the charge current during a charge
process only becomes effective if the
change cannot upset automatic (peak) termination.
That means: if the screen is displaying
a "full" probability symbol (a, b...;
see below), the charge continues temporarily
with an unchanged current.
8.15 Charge/disch. program
This funtion is used to determine the charge or
discharge program which is to be used.
Activating the menu point:
Press the akku x button.
Select:
Press the + or - button.
Select range:
As described below.
Confirm select:
Press enter
Interrupt:
Press esc
8.15.1 Sel.CD*
Purpose:
This program is designed for measuring
packs of cells using a high discharge current.
Sequence:
Before the discharge process the battery is
fully charged using the auto C program.
After the "full" termination the unit waits
about 5 minutes and then re-starts the
auto C program.
After the "full" termination the unit waits a
further 5 minutes and then starts the auto C
program a third time.
The point of this procedure is to have all
packs "brim-full", even if individual cell capacities
are not identical.
After the charge process the pack is discharged
at high rate using the fix--D program.
Note:
For discharge currents above 10 A the external
discharge load resistance must be
connected.
The standard settings for charge and discharge
current and limiting still apply.
Display:
In the "wait" pauses the following message
appears on the screen:
WaitUntil>hh:mm; hh:mm = time of day.
