Asit can be noticed, the highest value for DON is registered in Dâmboviţa (686.51 g/kg),followed by Dolj (554.39 g/kg) and Călăraşi (397.8 g/kg).In all wheat samples studied, the mycotoxin content was below the maximumlevels allowed for unprocessed cereals established by CE no. 1881/2006 regulation; exceptfor Teleorman county where samples from Bogdana and Mosteni locality exceed the limitfor ZEA content (100 g/kg), namely 112.657 g/kg, respectively 191.052 g/kg (Fig.2).800700600DON, µg/kg5004003002001000Dolj Călăraşi Olt Dâmboviţa Buzău Brăila Mehedinţi TeleormanFig.1. Evolution of DON content in wheat samples from the counties analyzed. There were samples in which mycotoxin content was not detected: 92.7% ofsamples analyzed for ZEA, respectively 34.8% for DON content, the values being belowthe limit of detection of the method used for analysis. So, DON presence is higher thanZEA in wheat samples studied. In 5 counties, namely, Dolj, Olt, Dâmboviţa, Buzău and Mehedinţi, ZEA contentwas not detected in all the wheat samples studied. The only values detected for ZEAcontent in some localities from Călăraşi, Brăila and Teleorman are presented in Fig.2.Also, in all the samples from Călăraşi, Olt and Dâmboviţa, DON content wasdetected. In Fig.3 is shown a comparison between the highest values for DON found in awheat sample from each of the county analyzed and the corresponding value for ZEA forthe same sample.194
