On the banks of the river Murray at
Morgan. A cool start to the day, but
beautiful Aussie weather followed.
Tables, chairs, eskies were set out. Aussie
icons and flags adorned the riverfront. With
pride we got into the spirit of the day, with
red, white and blue clothing, flags, hats,
thongs, sunnies, sunscreen, face paint,
tattoos and good true blue music blared in
the background. . Thanks to the Lions we
queued for delicious bacon and egg
toasties, orange juice, tea and coffee.
( quite a few people were observed going
back for seconds) Spruker, Georgie, let no
one miss out on a delicious
lamington, But where were the vegemite
sandwiches!
Our Debutantes, their partners and the
Pageant Queen were awarded Australia
Day Junior Achievement Awards what
poised and mature young people they are.
They are our future citizens and we wish
them health, happiness and a great
future. Other activities on the day was a
fun cricket match, not good scoring, a tug
of war and marbles. What a great Aussie
day out!! Thanks to Pat Mitchell and her
hard working team of Lions!!
