Our costume scout committee will select 10 contestants to<br />

of special items to be in the silent auction. This year’s<br />
auction will have a different kind of gradual item close out<br />

BIG CAT RESCUE MISSION STATEMENT<br />
Care of our cats. The narrow mission of <strong>Big</strong> <strong>Cat</strong><br />
<strong>Rescue</strong> is to provide the best permanent home we<br />
can for the abused, abandoned and retired cats in<br />
our care. We do this by building enclosures in a<br />
very natural habitat with foliage and shelter on our<br />
45 acre site, by providing the best nutritional and<br />
medical care possible, and by having active operant<br />
conditioning and enrichment programs to provide<br />
for their physical and psychological well being.<br />
Education. The broader mission of the sanctuary is<br />
to reduce the number of cats that suffer the fate of<br />
abandonment and/or abuse and to encourage preservation<br />
of habitat and wildlife. We urge people<br />
to behave in a way that will support these goals by<br />
teaching people about the plight of the cats, both<br />
in the wild and in captivity. We accomplish this<br />
through educational guided tours, educational programs<br />
for young people, and by maintaining a website<br />
that is the world’s largest and best resource for<br />
information about exotic cats.<br />

last year and is a great way to support the cats while saving<br />
on meals, gift shopping, or other items you want or need.<br />
PURCHASING BARGAIN ITEMS<br />
1. All <strong>Big</strong> <strong>Cat</strong> Bargain items have purchase sheets attached<br />
or affixed nearby. If you desire to buy an item please request<br />
assistance from one of the <strong>Big</strong> <strong>Cat</strong> Bargain Volunteers<br />
stationed in the area. Volunteers can be identified by their<br />
name badges and flashing tiger pins.<br />
2. The Volunteer will write your name and phone number<br />
down on the purchase sheet and give you two copies of the<br />
purchase sheet to take to the check out line in order to pay<br />
for your item(s). The bottom copy of the purchase sheet<br />
will remain on the item(s), indicating that the item(s) has<br />
sold.<br />
3. Once you have collected the purchase sheets from each<br />
item you wish to buy, you should then go to the check out<br />
line to pay for your items.<br />
4. Once you have paid for your item(s) you will be given a<br />
receipt to take back to the <strong>Big</strong> <strong>Cat</strong> Bargain table to collect<br />
your item(s).<br />
5. All items should be purchased and retrieved in a timely<br />
manner to ensure the availability and security of the item.<br />
6. <strong>Big</strong> <strong>Cat</strong> <strong>Rescue</strong> is not responsible for the accuracy of the<br />
description of the auction items contained in the following<br />
list. In most instances, the donors furnished the descriptions<br />
