When you see the Install Complete screen, read the message to be sure that the installation wassuccessful, then click Done.Installing StarTeam Notification AgentNotification Agent monitors server configurations to determine who needs to be notified about work to beperformed and about exceptions that occur in the workflow process.You must install and configure Notification Agent separately. It is usually installed on the computer that runsthe Windows version of the StarTeam Server, but can be installed anywhere. When Notification Agent is noton the same computer as the Server, the two computers clocks must be synchronized. Notification Agent’stime cannot be ahead of the Server’s time. When both are installed on the same computer and run as services,Notification Agent must be run as a dependent service and be shut down first. See “Running Notification Agentas a Service” in the StarTeam Workflow Extensions User’s Guide for more information.To install the StarTeam Notification Agent:1. Run the downloaded installer, or if using replacement DVDs, insert the StarTeam 2009 Installation Disk 3DVD into your DVD drive. The StarTeam Launcher window should appear automatically.If the installation menu does not appear automatically from inserting the DVD, display it by performing thefollowing steps:1. From the Windows Start menu, select Start ➤ Run2. At the command prompt, type:x:\setup.exewhere x: is the drive letter of your DVD drive.3. Press Enter. The StarTeam 2009 installation main menu opens.2. Click Install Products.3. Click Administrative Tools.4. Select StarTeam Notification Agent and follow the directions on the screen.1. In the Choose Install Folder dialog box, click Choose to browse for the location to be used as theinstallation folder. The default is C:\Program Files\Borland\StarTeam Notification Agent.4. In the Choose Shortcut Folder dialog box, use the default setting (that is, keep the Other option buttonset to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\ Programs\Borland StarTeam\StarTeamNotification Agent).5.
