Upgrading from Microsoft SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 SP2StarTeam Server 2009 does not support the Microsoft SQL 2000 Server. You must upgrade to Microsoft SQLServer 2005 SP2. The upgrade procedure is:1. Restore the SQL 2000 database onto a SQL 2005 Server.2. Upgrade the server configuration using StarTeam Server 2009.Upgrading from MSDE 2000 to SQL Server 2005 Express SP2StarTeam Server 2009 does not support MSDE 2000.You can upgrade to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 ExpressSP2. The upgrade procedure is:1. Backup the database from MSDE 2000.2. Restore the MSDE database backup onto the SQL Server 2005 Express SP2.3. Install StarTeam Server 2009.4. Create a new ODBC DSN which points to the new database.5. Copy over the existing server configuration.6. Update the server configuration properties with the new database connection:1. In the Server Administration tool, select your configuration.2. Choose Configuration Properties from the Server menu.3. Go to the Database Connection Information page and update it with the new ODBC DSN created instep 4.7. Upgrade the database using the StarTeam Server Administration tool:1. Select the server configuration to be upgraded.Even if the status for the server configuration indicates “Ready”, the server configuration will not startsuccessfully until you run the upgrade procedure.3. Click the Upgrade Database toolbar button.A series of dialog boxes may open and close. At the completion of the process, a message indicates asuccessful upgrade operation. If an error occurs, a message displays the error information. The upgradeprocess creates a log file in the server configuration's repository folder named DBUpgrade.locale.log wherelocale changes (for example, DBUpgrade.en-US.log).Note: The upgrade process requires one database connection to run.
