Always triumphant, the magnificentform of the great monarch is seen inevery posture, displaying strength andbeauty.In the small banquet-room are portrayedthe revels of the gayest and most dissoluteof the Devas. The figures are not pleasing,but the flowers and fruit rival those uponthe tables, heaped in golden baskets.The bedroom is like a garden of roses.There again is reproduced in art the majesticbut voluptuous form of the Light-bearer, recliningbeneath sheltering vines, or wanderingthrough sequestered walks in companywith one alone, whose lineaments reproducebut too faithfully Samoula’s beauty.
