FOREWORD 5The fallen angels or evil spirits were not destroyedin the flood, but imprisoned in the darkness of theatmosphere near the earth. Upon this point the inspiredwords of holy writ are: "For God spared notthe angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, anddelivered them into chains of darkness, to be reservedunto judgment." (2 Peter 2:4.)which kept not their first estate,"And the angelsbut left their ownhabitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains underdarkness unto the judgment of the great day."(Jude 6.)Since the flood these evil angels have had no powerto materialize, yet they have had the power and exercisedit, of communicating with human beings throughwilling dupes known as spirit mediums. Thus havebeen deceived hundreds of thousands of honest peopleinto believing that their dead friends are alive and thatthe living can talk with the dead.All students, familiar with the Bible teaching con°cerning spiritism, will read this book with the keenestinterest because it shows the method employed bySatan and the wicked angels to debauch and overthrowthe human race. The reviser of this book is of theopinion that the original manuscript was dictated tothe woman who wrote it by one of the fallen angelswho desired to return to divine favor. It is believedthat reverential persons now examining the revised editionof this book will have a better understanding ofthe evil influence about us and be better fortified in theLord’s word and grace to shield and protect themselvesfrom these evil influences.Spiritism, otherwise named demonism, is workinggreat evil amongst men.
