APPENDIX 267Kingdom is now due to be set up on earth, and all thegladsome prophecies are about to be fulfilled:"The devil, through his earthly representatives,has taught the people that the masses will spend eternityalive, not in happiness, but in torment. This is afalse doctrine. Those that refuse to obey the Lordwill he destroyed. ’All the wicked will he destroy.’(Psalm 145:20) The obedient ones shall be restoredto perfection of body, of mind and heart, anddwell together with their loved ones in happiness."Many are now blind and deaf and lame and halt.These deficiencies shall pass away under the righteousadministration of the desirable government. Concerningthis, God’s prophet says: ’The wilderness and thesolitary place shall be glad for them; and the desertshall rejoice and blossom as the rose. It shall blossomabundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: theglory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellencyof Carmel and Sharon; they shall see the glory of theLord, and the excellency of our God. Thenthe eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of thedeaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame manleap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing.’(Isaiah 35:1, 2, 5, 6) In order for man to be happyhe must be relieved of sickness, given health, and havepeace. Under the new government these things willbe granted. ’Behold, I will bring it health and cure,and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them timabundance of peace and truth.’---Jeremiah 33:6."The people will be so happy under the new orderthat they will assemble, not to petition for redress oftheir wrongs, but to sing the praises of the new andrighteous government. (Isaiah 51:11; Psalm 148)The obedient ones shall be restored to the days oftheir youth and their flesh shall become fresher than achild’s.--Job 33:25.
