OBJECTIVES and TASKS<br />
Objectives:<br />
The nTOF Project aims at a measurement campaign of neutron reaction cross sections<br />
related to transmutation, the ADS and the Thorium-Uranium cycle.<br />
• to make these high precision data accessible to the user (via data banks NEA,<br />
IAEA) as soon as possible.<br />
• Evaluated files including the new cross section data should be generated for<br />
part of the isotopes<br />
Tasks:<br />
• Providing measured cross sections in EXFOR for inclusion in the world wide data<br />
banks as early as possible. Link to international organisations (NEA, IAEA)<br />
• Standard Evaluations and modelling procedures of part of the isotopes including<br />
the measured cross sections at nTOF<br />
• Development of improved evaluation and modelling procedures on a microscopic<br />
basis to allow more reliable inter- and extrapolations.<br />
