At the same time, this program enables you to roundout your eduction and obtain an associate degree in applied science.For almost 40years, the Institute of Audio Research inGreenwich Village has trained successful recording engineersand music producers. IAR’s graduates are everywhere in themusic business, doing live sound, radio, television, studiowork, corporate A/V and much more.At IAR, you will learn recording, mixing, digital musicproduction, audio post-production, MIDI and more from atop notch, industry leading faculty who are active in theNew York music scene. You will get the technical skills andplenty of hands-on experience. The curriculum also includescreative audio “portfolios” graduates may use to furthertheir careers and present to potential employers.IAR has morning, afternoon and evening sessions beginningevery 8-9 weeks. The full-time day program lasts about9-months, and the part-time evening program about 12months. IAR’s program is roughly half lecture and halfhands-on computer labs and workshops.
