CHAPTER 4: INSTALLATIONWiring the <strong>UPS</strong>• Verify that all branch circuit (mains) and low voltage (control) circuits arede-energized, and locked out before installing cables or making connections, whether inthe junction box or to the <strong>UPS</strong>.• Verify that the battery modules are not installed in the <strong>UPS</strong>.Do not install battery modules until you are ready to power up the <strong>UPS</strong>. Batteries can bepermanently damaged if loaded prematurely.• Check national and local codes before wiring.• Wiring by a qualified electrician is required.• Select wire size and connectors according to national and local codes.• Use flexible metal conduit to make maintenance and service easier.1.
