Checking installed directories and filesThis section assumes that you have already installed the Sun Microsystems JavaDeveloper’s Kit (JDK) on your system. The <strong>Cincom</strong> ORDB <strong>JDBC</strong> driver iscompatible with JDK version 1.4.2.Directories for <strong>JDBC</strong>The <strong>Cincom</strong> ORDB client runtime includes the file %ORDB%\ordbjava.jar. Theordbjava.jar file contains the <strong>Cincom</strong> ORDB <strong>JDBC</strong> driver implementationclasses.In addition to the jar file, <strong>Cincom</strong> ORDB development kit installations will alsohave the following:♦ %ORDB%\demo\jdbc\samples directory with several sample files♦ Command line mapping tool in file:- On Windows: %ORDB%\ddltojava.exe- On Unix: $ORDB/utilities/ddltojava%ORDB% refers to the directory identified by the ORDB environment variable.This will be set to the installation directory.This document will use both UNIX ($ORDB/..) and Windows (%ORDB%\..)notations. Please adjust the environment variable and slashes accordingly foryour platform.The javadoc tool was used to generate reference information about the javaclasses that are contained in the ordbjava.jar file.
