WHEREAS, the ~yor am Baird <strong>of</strong> Aldermen '<strong>of</strong>the<strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong>, MississiWidid adopt an ordinance at a fonner DEe t~ <strong>of</strong> said Mayor '!ond .Board <strong>of</strong> A.ldermEll, which ordinanceis entitled, "An ordinance to regulate and restrict the lc;ca~ion, constructioo and use <strong>of</strong>wildings and }r emises in th e <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> Uxford, ltissisippi, ,an4 forsaid purpo ses dividirl! the<strong>City</strong> into districts, and providing a penalty for the vio1~tiqn <strong>of</strong> any provision <strong>of</strong> said ordinance",said ordinance being reoordecl in Ordinance <strong>Book</strong> No. 1 at Pages 240 and 241 <strong>of</strong> theOrdinances <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong>, Missisippi, 00 file in the <strong>of</strong>ices <strong>of</strong> the Mayor <strong>of</strong> said<strong>City</strong>; and,, ,Whereas, Sectiqn 16 <strong>of</strong> said ordin8flc~ provides, among other things, that the Mayor andBoard <strong>of</strong> Aldermen <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong>, Mississippi may, ,from tine to time, amend, supplementor change lIy ordinance the boundaries <strong>of</strong> districts, or regulations contained in said ordinance;and,Whereas, Section 3 <strong>of</strong> said ordinance divides the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong>, Mississippi into threeuse districts, namely, "A", Residence District; "B", COlUllercial District; and "C", IndustrialDistrict; the Boundaries <strong>of</strong> such districts being shown upon the map made a part <strong>of</strong> saidordinance, said map lDe~ designated as the "Use Ujstrict Map" <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> Oxfcrd,Miss:issippi, just as said nm.p and all other things, shown thereon are described in saidordinance; and,Whereas, 9.
