Hilbun, passed unanimously and is so ordered.Pursuant to an advertisement in the Oxford Eagle for bids on vlater meter repair parts tobe opened at the Regular meeting of the He,yor and Board of Aldermen on December 4, 1951,bids from the follovTing cOl:1:canies were received:Rockvrell Nanufacturing Company, Atlanta, GeorgiaBadcer Meter }fanufacturing Company, l':ilvlaukee, WisconsinAfter a careful consideration of the bids from the above mentioned companies, AldermanH. S. Sisk made a motion that the bid from Rockwell Hanufacturing Company be accepted, itbeing the best and lowest bid. This motion was seconded by Alderman Robert ':1. Hickey,passed unanimously and it is so ordered.Pursuant to an advertisement in the Oxford Eagle for bids on 255 feet of 24" sevrer pipeto be opened at the Regular Heeting of the Hayor and Board of Aldermen on Decenber 4, 1951,bids from the following companies were received:Choctaw, Inc., Hemphis, TennesseeSouthern Pipe and Supply Company, Inc., Heridian, HississippiAfter carefully considerine the bids from the above mentioned companies, Alderman RobertW. Hickey made a motion that the bid from Choctaw, Inc. be accepted, it being the bestand lo,.rest bid. This motion ,,,as seconded qy Alderman B. O. Elliott, pe.ssed unanimouslyand it is so ordered.Came on for consideration the matter of filling up the ditch at tl1e rear of the GrammarS~hool Building and after a careful consideration of the matter, Alderman Ben J. Hilbunmoved that all leaves, dirt and trash be dumped into said ditch. This motion was secondedby Aldernan B. O. Elliott, passed unanimously and is so ordered.Came on for consideration the matter of employing a ~8n to stay in the Fire Departmentdurine the day, and after a careful consideration of the matter, motion was made byA Jder"n Ben J. Hilbun that Charlie Anders(ln be employed, provided, he remain sober whileon duty at a salary of fifty cents per hour •. This motion was seconded by Alderman H. T.Chandler, passed unanimously and it is so ordered.Came on for consideration the matter of fuel oil for the Light Plant operation for thenext t}:1.ree months; namely, January, February and HarG-h. After a discussion of the mattermotion was made, seconded and passed, and it vlaS ordlered that Hr. Harrison be and he ishereby authorized to have published in The Oxford Eagle an indtation for b5ds on saidfuel oil, stating requirements; said bids to be opened at the Regular Heeting of theMayor and Board on January 1, 1952.Came up for consideration the fact that Mrs. J. B. Brov!ll had been paying a tHO familyrate sewer and ",ater charge since February 1, 1951 and only one family had lived inMrs. Brown! shouse dm'ing that time. After carefully cons idering the matter, AldernanH. S. Sisk moved that Mrs. Brown be refunded the amolli1t due her on account of the abovementioned error. This motion WIS seconded by Alderman v1. T. Chandler, passed unanimouslyand the City Clerk is hereby authorized to issue Hrs. Brol-m a check for same.**********************
