Marchbanks*****-*******-****Mr. Will Lewis presented the folloWing resolution:STATE OF MISSISSIPPICOUNTY OF LAFAYEl'TECITY OF OXFORDAt a meeting <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Oxford</strong> Separate SchoolDistrict <strong>of</strong> Lafayette County, Mississippi, duly called and held onNovember 29, 1951, in the <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> Dr. A. H. Little, in said district,for the purpose <strong>of</strong> considering and taking such action on the followingresolution and related matters as were necessary or proper, the followingproceedings were had, to-wit:Ira L. Morgan, one <strong>of</strong> the trustees, introduced and moved the adoption<strong>of</strong> the following resolution:_.J__...._..._ ..Whereas, the members <strong>of</strong> this board <strong>of</strong> trustees have determined thatit is to the best interest <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Oxford</strong> Separate School District <strong>of</strong>Lafayette County, Mississippi to issue bon~s not to exceed the sum 6fThree Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) for the purposes<strong>of</strong> erecting, repairing, equipping, remodelling and enlarging schoolbuildings and related facilities, including auditoriums, lunch rooms,vocational training building and libraries;Now, therefore, be it resolved that the board <strong>of</strong> trustees <strong>of</strong> the<strong>Oxford</strong> Separate School District <strong>of</strong> Lafayette County, Mississippi recommendand request the Mayor and Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong>,Mississippi to call an election to determine whether or not the bonds<strong>of</strong> the Oxf'ord Separate School District <strong>of</strong> lafayette County, MissisSippi shallbe issued in an amount not exceeding the sum <strong>of</strong> Three Hundred and FiftyThousand Dollars ($350,000.00) for the purposes <strong>of</strong> erecting, repairing,equipping, remodelling and enlarging school buildings and related facilities,including auditoriums, lunch rooms, vocational training building andlibraries.Dr. A. H. Little, one <strong>of</strong> the trustees, seconded the motion andmoved the adoption <strong>of</strong> the foregoing resolution.On roll call the following trustees voted ay~: Will Lewis, Ira L.Morgan, C. V. DeShazo, D. H. Marchbanks and A. H. Little. Thereupon theresolution was declared unanimouslY carried and adopted.Approved this 29th day <strong>of</strong> November, A.
