MINUTE BOOK No. 14, CITY OF OXFORDr----CEMENT - MERIDIAN:;It came to the attention of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen that the trucks used forthe High Test Company were using the space in front of Mr. D. A. Higdon's home forparking, and after carefully considering the matter, Alderman W. T. Chandler movedthat a NO PARKING sign be placed in front of Mr. Hidgon's home. This motion was secondedby Alderman H. S. Sisk and passed unanimously, and it is so ordered.************************Mr. Harrison presented to the Mayor and Board the need for a new roof on the Power Plantand the barn, and after carefully considering the matter, Alderman B. O. Elliott madea motion that the City publish an invitation for bids on said roofs. This motion wasseconded by Alderman H. S. Sisk, carried unanimously and it is so ordered.***********************Came on for consideration the matter of a new roof on the City Hall and after discussingthe matter, Alderman B. O. Elliott made a motion that an invitation for bids on saidroof be published in The Oxford Eagle. This motion was seconded by Alderman H. S. Sisk,passed unanimouly and it is so ordered.**********************Came on for consideration the matter of Mr. W. R. Winter objecting to the excessive waterbill at t~e C. C. C. Camp and it was brought to the attention of the Mayor and Boardof Aldermen that the public toilet at the C. C. C. Camp was on Mr. Winter's meter.After carefully considering the matter, Alderman B. O. Elliott made a motion that ameter be installed for Shaw and Gray and said public toilet be put on that meter. Thismotion was seconded by Alderman H. S. Sisk, carried unanimously and it is so ordered.*********************Came on for consideration the matter of the need for distribution transformers andafter a discussion of the matter, Alderman B. O. Elliott moved that the City publishin The Oxford Eagle an invitation for bids on 2 100 KWH transformers, 4 75 KVmtransforemers and 2 37t KVm transforemers. This motion was seconded by AldermanH. S.
