MINUTE BOOK No. <strong>14</strong>, CITY OF OXFORDr----CEMENT - MERIDIAN:;It came to the attention <strong>of</strong> the Mayor and Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen that the trucks used forthe High Test Company were using the space in front <strong>of</strong> Mr. D. A. Higdon's home forparking, and after carefully considering the matter, Alderman W. T. Chandler movedthat a NO PARKING sign be placed in front <strong>of</strong> Mr. Hidgon's home. This motion was secondedby Alderman H. S. Sisk and passed unanimously, and it is so ordered.************************Mr. Harrison presented to the Mayor and Board the need for a new ro<strong>of</strong> on the Power Plantand the barn, and after carefully considering the matter, Alderman B. O. Elliott madea motion that the <strong>City</strong> publish an invitation for bids on said ro<strong>of</strong>s. This motion wasseconded by Alderman H. S. Sisk, carried unanimously and it is so ordered.***********************Came on for consideration the matter <strong>of</strong> a new ro<strong>of</strong> on the <strong>City</strong> Hall and after discussingthe matter, Alderman B. O. Elliott made a motion that an invitation for bids on saidro<strong>of</strong> be published in The <strong>Oxford</strong> Eagle. This motion was seconded by Alderman H. S. Sisk,passed unanimouly and it is so ordered.**********************Came on for consideration the matter <strong>of</strong> Mr. W. R. Winter objecting to the excessive waterbill at t~e C. C. C. Camp and it was brought to the attention <strong>of</strong> the Mayor and Board<strong>of</strong> Aldermen that the public toilet at the C. C. C. Camp was on Mr. Winter's meter.After carefully considering the matter, Alderman B. O. Elliott made a motion that ameter be installed for Shaw and Gray and said public toilet be put on that meter. Thismotion was seconded by Alderman H. S. Sisk, carried unanimously and it is so ordered.*********************Came on for consideration the matter <strong>of</strong> the need for distribution transformers andafter a discussion <strong>of</strong> the matter, Alderman B. O. Elliott moved that the <strong>City</strong> publishin The <strong>Oxford</strong> Eagle an invitation for bids on 2 100 KWH transformers, 4 75 KVmtransforemers and 2 37t KVm transforemers. This motion was seconded by AldermanH. S. Sisk, passed unanimously and it is So ordered.*************~****On motion made by Alderrr~n B. O. Elliott, seconded by Alderman H. S.
