II3751MINUTE BOOK No. <strong>14</strong>, CITY OF OXFORDDEMENT - MERIDIAN='-"---'-------"'---'---IIIt~ ... -•.::-'.---"=.And, whereas said notes were validated by a decree<strong>of</strong> the Chancery Court <strong>of</strong> Lafayette County, MisSissippi, iJlCause No. 9031 <strong>of</strong> said Court on December 9, <strong>1950</strong>;And, Whereas said ordinance and said decree authorizethis GoverDing B~ to issue said notes at such time or timesand in such amount or amounts as may hereafter be directedby resolution <strong>of</strong> this Governing Body;And, Whereas Notes numbered 1-32 have in the pastbeen delivered by this Governing Body, and whereas it is nowdeemed necessary and to the best interest <strong>of</strong> this <strong>City</strong> t.issue Notes, Numbers 33-37, in the total amount <strong>of</strong> Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) at this time, and whereas theMayor and Cit,. Clerk <strong>of</strong> this <strong>City</strong>, respectively, are the proper<strong>of</strong>ficers and authorities <strong>of</strong> this <strong>City</strong> to execute such notes;Now, therefore, be and it is hereby resolved that thesaid Mayor and <strong>City</strong> Clerk <strong>of</strong> this <strong>City</strong> are hereby' authorizedto execute such notes, Numbers 33-37 inclusive, in the totalamotmt <strong>of</strong> Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00), by signingtheir names thereto and atrixing the <strong>of</strong>ficial seal <strong>of</strong> this <strong>City</strong>,and to deliver same to M. A. Saunders & CompalIy, Inc., <strong>of</strong>Hemphis, Tennessee, and Cady & Company, Inc., <strong>of</strong> Columbus,Mississippi, jointly, upon payment therefor at par andaccrued interest, so that the special imprOftDlentsoutlined in the aforementioned ordinance and courtproceeding may go forward.The foregoing resolution having ".. introducedin writing ws read, considered, and adopted withoutchange in form in vhich it ws introduced, by thefollowing vote:Alderman B.
